Scan and clean
Text pasted into the cleaner is processed in your browser for the scan and clean steps. Those steps do not send the text to our server.
Rewrite requests
When you choose Rewrite, the text is sent to our server and forwarded to OpenAI (gpt-4o-mini for Light/Medium, gpt-4o for Strong when signed in) for processing. ClaudeClean does not store the text after the request.
Cookies and rate limiting
We set one functional httpOnly cookie named cc_token. It is a signed session cookie kept for 30 days. Rate limiting uses the request IP in memory.
Accounts are stored in MongoDB with your Google id, email, name, avatar URL, plan, credits, and rewrite job metadata such as type, filename, character counts, status, and timestamps. The text itself is never stored, and job metadata is retained for up to 90 days.
You can delete your account and its job history anytime from Settings.
Payments and analytics
Payments are handled by Polar. ClaudeClean never sees or stores your card details. We use DataFast for privacy-friendly, aggregate visit analytics; it does not receive the text you paste or upload.
